Buying, Postage & Returns

The checkout options include all major credit and debit cards. These are processed by either World Pay (titled as Create Payments) or Paypal. Both providers are experienced checkout providers and use secure-encrypted code for maximum security. Your bank statement and/or paypal account will transaction will show as "JT" for your descretion.

Postage & Dispatch

Jo Thornton now offers FREE UK POSTAGE on all orders! The price you see at the checkout is the price you will pay in total. All orders are sent by Royal Mail Second Class or Airmail Service, unless upgraded to First Class or discreet store collection at the checkout. Your order will be dispatched within 24 hours of your purchase. In rare circumstances, this may be slightly delayed and I will ensure you're updated as soon as possible. As a seasoned online shopper, I know you want to enjoy your item(s) in the fastest possible time, so I do my best to make that happen.

I ship to all European countries and most others. Under the rules of Brexit and change in VAT laws, VAT will now be charged in your country by your postal service before you receive the parcel, if you live in the EU.  These charges will need to be paid by you before you can receive your goods, and will be the the VAT rate of your country. This is usually 20%. There may also be a handling charge added by your postal company, which can vary considerably.

This has always been the case with non-EU countries and orders going to the rest of the world, and is unchanged. You will continue to be charged VAT in the same way.

Postage costs to all countries will be displayed once the country is selected, before moving onto the payment window. I am unable to calculate the import tax that you will be charged in your country.  Please get in touch if you have any queries.

Discreet UK Collect In Store

Discrete store delivery is a must for many of you, enabling you to keep your purchase private.  The store will tell you when your parcel is ready to collect, and you can go at your convenience with your ID, to collect it. 

Until recently, I used Collect Plus for store delivery, but this service has now broken off to only deal with store returns. Yodel have taken over, but my first parcels with them had problems.  Until they are able to fix their teething problems, I will be using UPS.  UPS will also deliver to a local store for you, but these can be different to the stores used by Collect Plus. Simply add the store address as the shipping address or put the name of the store in the message box, during the checkout process and I will send to the store for you. They will email you when it's on the way and when it is ready to collect, but if you would like to leave your phone number on the order details with me, I will also add that so they can text you. 

Returns & Exchanges

I fully understand that your breast enhancers and breast forms may not fit you as well as you expected, especially if you're a first time buyer. It can be a bit of a learning process, so I put a lot of time into ensuring pictures are accurate and as much detail as possible is included on product listings and I am always here to help. There are also a selection of guide pages to help you get the best out of your shopping trip. I can exchange your item as many times as you need, in order to get the right product. Please get in touch as early as possible, so I can rectify the issue for you in good time.

There are a few simple conditions:

  1. Original postage is covered by myself. Return postage must be covered by the customer, unless faulty.
  2. Reimbursement of postage cost for faulty items will be refunded within 30 days of purchase.
  3. Fashion Tape & Nipple Covers can only be returned if faulty, due to hygiene reasons. 

Product Packaging

I ensure all orders are well packaged, before being dispatched; you will find packaging information details on each product description. Most single purchase items will fit through your letterbox but multiple item purchases may not, where possibly being packaged together. The packaging is discreet but some parcels can be squishy.  I give packaging options for each product that can help you to avoid this by upgrading to a box etc, and you're more than welcome to discuss your postage options and preferences, before purchasing. Just drop me a message and I'll get straight back to you with advice and any additional charge information in advance, as soon as I possibly can. 

The included return address label on the packaging will display an address only, for complete discretion. 

Jo Thornton is an environmentally friendly company

At present, there aren't many alternatives to silicone, which gives the most realistic feel for breast forms. It's a really tough balance between preserving the environment and giving women the confidence to live the life they can be comfortable in. My products do contain some plastics and adhestives, which are non-recyclable - I wish this were not the case. Whilst I continuously seek to provide more sustainable products, I can ensure that the products I do suppy, are made to last, lessoning the impact.

Whilst some things are unavoidable, I do make sure that my packaging and processes are as environmentally-friendly as possible. I recycle all packaging where I can and keep packaging to a minimum with all items I send out - this means the box won't be big enough to be a garage. This enables me to keep my costs down too - it's a win-win! 

  • I use biodegradable tissue paper packaging as my standard product packaging for all breast enhancers and breast forms
  • Plastic mailing bags that have added bio compounds to assist the degrade process
  • Jiffy bags with recyclable paper parts. I continue to research more options here
  • Recyclable cardboard boxing
  • Paper based, non-plastic recyclable packing tape.

Some products are packed with plastic padded pillows or packing nuggets, which I am am reusing from my suppliers parcels. These can be reused again, or popped and recycled, subject to your local recycling scheme.

Privacy Policy

Jo Thornton is committed to ensuring your privacy is protected at all stages. Your payment details are never seen by me and are processed only by the secure payment companies. Your name, address and e-mail address are forwarded to me for product processing and are stored on my website provider's secure server.  I have a full data policy and when I download my sales information I remove all of your personal information immediately. I will never sell your details to a 3rd party (I know just how irritating that is!) and on your statement any payment will come up as JT for total discretion. You can read more here.
