Fabulous Fashion Tape Instructions
I wouldn't be doing my job if I didn't give you some tips, tricks and safety instructions, when it comes to fashion tape. The stuff is, as suggested, rather sticky and I've heard several disaster stories as proof. They give me something to giggle at with my morning coffee. The tape is double sided and it can be tricky to remove the backing strip, especially if you've not used fashion tape before. Follow my tips below, to get the best out of it.
Clean the area that you will be applying the tape to. I'd recommend leaving perfume products until last.
Use your nail to gentle unpeel the roll of tape and apply the sticky side, directly onto your skin, rolling. out the desired length. Pull the end away from your skin and cut with scissors.
IMPORTANT: Smooth the tape firmly against the skin until completly flat, especially at the ends. If the tape is not flat, it may not stick properly when the backing is removed.
Leave the tape to sit for a few minutes to fully stick. Make yourself a cuppa, do your make-up, browse facebook...
If you're sticking the tape to clothing, you'll want to pop that on next, before removing the backing.
Give the tape one more smooth down and then gently remove the backing. If sticking to clothing, smooth it down firmly to finish.
As with all products, with backing backing paper, you may find one corner easier to peel than the other. If one is proving tricky, try the other end.
When peeling off the tape, go carefully. You can either peel it off slowly, or soak it to make it a little easier.
When removing the tape from a tougher surface like a breast enhancer or breast form, gentle dab baby oil on some cotton wool and wipe away any sticky residue.
Customers use several methods to apply the tape. Trial and see what works best for you. Some remove all backing and then apply, others cut the length before applying and some use the above method.
If you have any questions or further suggestions for applying or removing that you've found useful, send me a message.
Keep the product and backing paper away from children and pets. It is not a toy.
Keep the product away from fire and sources of ignition, as it can be flammable.
If the product is ingested, consult medical help immediately.
It is recommended to test a small strip on the skin first, to check for allergic reactions. If you experience a reaction, remove immediately and seek medical attention if required.
Removing the tape from skin can be a little painful if fine hairs are caught, much like a plaster. To minimise this, soak in lukewarm water before removal.
Not recommended for use on nipples or genital area!
